New York Mets rookie first baseman Pete Alonso has signed an exclusive multi-year agreement with licensed autograph and memorabilia dealer Fanatics Authentic. Alonso joins other baseball players such as Giancarlo Stanton, Aaron Judge and Kris Bryant as exclusive partners of the brand.
Alonso is entering into the exclusive arrangement only a few months after the start of his career at the highest ranks of Major League Baseball. He is certainly taking advantage of his excellent start on the field, which includes ranking among the top five National League players in home runs.
Details of the deal were not announced. It is likely that Fanatics Authentic paid a premium to lock Pete Alonso up early and exclusively.
“Pete has taken the league by storm since the start of the season, and he’s quickly established himself as one of the exuberant young talents in the game,” said Fanatics Authentic executive vice president Victor Shaffer. “He’s built a close connection to Mets fans in New York City and beyond, and we’re excited to now offer a wide selection of his officially licensed products.”
