New Miami MLS Team Taps Experts To Help With Ticket Sales

Elevate Sports Ventures has partnered with David Beckham’s Major League Soccer (MLS) club Inter Miami CF. The sports consulting firm will provide ticket strategy and sales support to the startup MLS club in preparation for its inaugural 2020 MLS campaign.

That gives Elevate Sports Ventures roughly ten months to put together a strategy and get to work on selling tickets to a brand new market for MLS. Typically, professional sports franchises hire internally to sell tickets; thus, the retention of Elevate Sports Ventures before even attempting to completely control the process internally is worthy of attention from a sports business perspective.

South Florida can be a particularly difficult market for selling tickets to sporting events. Venues and teams compete with tropical climates that can either drag potential consumers to the beach or away from the blistering heat that is endured as part of sitting in a stadium.

Elevate Sports Ventures will bring its expertise and resources to assist in the difficult process of persuading South Floridians to give Inter Miami CF a shot. It also is tasked with selling tickets to what may be a temporary home for the team, in Fort Lauderdale.

“We are proud to represent one of the most dynamic ownership groups, innovative management teams and promising soccer clubs in the world today,” said Al Guido, Chief Executive Officer of Elevate Sports Ventures. “The Inter Miami CF brand is poised to become a powerhouse on the world stage and a dominant team in the South Florida market. We are confident that South Florida’s communities, fans and businesses will rally around this exciting new franchise, mirroring captivation around the globe. We are thrilled to add Inter Miami CF to Elevate’s growing roster of diverse, global clients, brands and teams.”

That roster includes work with the upcoming XFL and Purdue University.
