Hyundai Ups NFL Deal By Adding Presenting Sponsorship Of Sunday Night Football

Hyundai is expanding its sponsorship of the NFL. Going into its fourth season as an official NFL sponsor, Hyundai will add a presenting sponsorship of NBC’s Sunday Night Football Kickoff show and gain the marquee presence leading into each Sunday night’s game.

Additionally, Hyundai is sponsoring a new, custom-branded content series called “Cover 2.” It is a three-party series that will feature a former player from the teams playing each other to discuss aspects of the rivalry, all while driving around in a Hyundai Santa Fe.

The three episodes of Cover 2 will air on September 30 (Ravens at Steelers), October 21 (Rams at 49ers) and November 25 (Packers at Vikings).

Hyundai will continue with its existing presenting sponsorship of the NFL’s Kickoff celebration, which will occur this year at Penn’s Landing in Philadelphia. Shawn Mendes will headline a concert featured on the pre-game broadcast on NBC and NFL Network.

In addition to its league deal, Hyundai continues to sponsor six NFL teams going into the 2018 season: Arizona Cardinals, Houston Texans, Los Angeles Rams, Miami Dolphins, Minnesota Vikings and Pittsburgh Steelers. Hyundai’s replaced General Motors as the automotive sponsor of the NFL four years ago, after GM had owned the sponsorship since 2001.
