FOX And CBS Reveal Sports Betting Plans For 2018 NFL Season

FOX, through FOX Sports and FS1, is dedicated to providing sports betting programming to consumers throughout the 2018 NFL season and beyond. A main component of that plan is the introduction of a new show called “LOCK IT IN,” which will debut on September 10 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. et.

LOCK IT IN is being described as FOX’s first-ever sports gambling show. Its mission is to make the avid sports fan smarter and more informed about the world of sports betting.

“The weekday show stars an eclectic cast of entertaining, sports-obsessed minds that want to make watching that night’s games as entertaining as possible. While fans tune in to see what the experts are saying – and who they are putting their hypothetical money on, they will also get smarter about the biggest sports stories of the day,” states a release from FOX.

Rachel Bonnetta will be the host of LOCK IT IN. She will be joined by panelists “Cousin Sal” Iacono, Clay Travis and former Caesars oddsmaker Todd Fuhrman.

Meanwhile, CBS is going with a totally different sports betting strategy. The company policy is that there wil be no discussion about sports betting during NFL broadcasts.

“The majority of fantasy football talk is during TV shows devoted to the topic. Game broadcasts are devoted to broadcasting the game. Gambling will be treated the same for now and CBS is making the right play by just outlawing sports betting talk during the games,” opines Marc Meltzer of The Lines.
