Job Opening: FAU Seeks Senior Associate Athletic Director

Florida Atlantic University (FAU) in beautiful Boca Raton, Florida is looking to hire a Senior Associate Athletic Director to run its Compliance department. The Compliance program oversees FAU’s nineteen varsity sports and more than 450 college athletes, the athletics department, etc.

At least a master’s degree and four years of appropriate experience is required. Alternatively, if you can demonstrate six years of appropriate experience, then the master’s degree is not absolutely necessary. However, the program does want to hire someone who has an expert understanding of NCAA rules and regulations and has experience in Title IX compliance.

The salary for the job opening ranges from $80,000 to $90,000.

Responsibilities for the FAU job opportunity include:

  • Manage and oversee the athletics compliance staff, including the Associate AD for Compliance.
  • Manage the investigation and reporting of alleged violations of NCAA regulations to the Chief Compliance Officer, Director of Athletics, NCAA, and other university personnel as appropriate.
  • Oversee all compliance areas including amateurism, recruiting, financial aid, eligibility, extra benefits, and playing and practice seasons.
  • Provide oversight and monitors for compliance related to student-athlete admissions, initial and continuing eligibility certification, financial aid, housing, dining services; book distribution and return, vehicle registration, and exit interviews.
