Round The Clock Sports Betting Network Launches Thru Sportradar-SportsGrid Deal

Sports betting content has experienced a boom since the Professional Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA) was repealed in 2018, permitting states to legalize and regulate sports wagering within their borders. While states are gradually becoming more comfortable with the idea of sports betting, with some like Rhode Island recently revising its sports gambling law to allow for mobile wagering, traditional TV networks and newer entrants such as The Action Network and VSiN have entered the fold to capture the sports bettor’s attention with content, data and analysis.

Now, a leader in analyzing and leveraging sports data is announcing a brand new project in the world of content delivery. Sportradar is teaming up with the audio and video sports wagering network SportsGrid to launch the first free, twenty-four hour network dedicated to the sports betting audience.

SportsGrid was founded in 2017 as a free audio and video network provided through the likes of Amazon Fire TV and AppleTV. It owns DailyRoto and RotoExperts in addition to the FNTSY Sports Network and has partnered with the NBA, FanDuel, The Elvis Duran Group and others. Partnering with Sportradar gives SportsGrid the ability to integrate Sportradar’s data and technology into its content, which is something SportsGrid believes will add a ton of value.

“Joining forces with Sportradar instantly affords SportsGrid with the ability to provide unquestionable best of breed sports wagering programming,” says SportsGrid President Louis M. Maione. “Additionally, Sportradar’s delivery of a robust video solution ensures our content is placed where fans want to consume it, stamping our foothold as a market leader in the space.”

The new partners contend that their arrangement will allow bookmakers and brands a native opportunity to reach the betting community through sponsorship of programming in addition to targeted ad spends across SportsGrid’s video and audio inventory. Sportradar is currently an official partner of the NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB, NASCAR, FIFA and UEFA, and it monitors, analyzes and delivers insights from over 400,000 matches on an annual basis.

Sports betting content is absolutely growing by the day, with more options for consumers to receive both free and charged for information. As more states legalize sports betting within their borders and enhanced attention is paid to the industry, it is fair to expect more announcements of live content in the space, with content providers fighting over eyeballs.
