Ninja, Tfue And TSM Myth Fall Short Of Qualifying For The Fortnite World Cup.
Week 4 of the Fortnite World Cup qualifier took place yesterday and several big names came up just short of qualifying. Week 4 was duos, while the odd numbered weeks are the solo qualifiers. The top three duos in NA – East and West qualify for the World Cup (as well as other regions across the globe), which will take place July 26-28 in New York City with $30 million up for grabs — the largest esports tournament in history.
On the east side of things, popular streamers Tfue and FaZe cLoak got 6th place with 82 points, only three points away from qualifying. Tfue has already qualified in solos for his performance in Week 3.
Ninja and his duo partner Reverse2k came up just short as well, finishing in 14th place with 75 points. They were 10 points away from third place. They started extremely well with a nine-kill victory in their first game. They also had two other games finishing in second place, but it was not enough.
Other well-known streamers placed high in the east including Liquid’s Poach and Chap in 12th place, Symfuhny in 46th place and TSM Myth finished in 56th place with 62 points.
The west was a different story, as the familiar faces did not fare so well. Nickmercs and his duo partner NioRooch finished in 60th place with 62 points. SypherPk finished just inside the top 100 with 57 points.
Here are the six duo teams who have now qualified for the World Cup in late July.
- NRG Zayt and Ghost Saf 99
- Tempo Brush and Tempo Cizlucky 91
- Nate Hill and FaZe Funk 85 (funk qualified last week in solos)
