Job Opening: Electronic Arts Seeks Senior Legal Counsel For Competitive Gaming Division

Electronic Arts (EA) is seeking to hire a lawyer who has at least ten years of experience to run the legal support for its Competitive Gaming Division (CGD). Being licensed to practice law in California is required, and the job is based in Redwood Shores.
The candidate chosen for the position will be the primary legal point of contact for senior CGD leadership will will work on a wide variety of commercial, risk management and governance matters involving a range of legal and regulatory issues related to gaming, tournaments, sports and entertainment. A component of the position is developing, operating, marketing and working on the broadcasting of global esports events.
The description includes that the individual “Monitors shifts in the legal and regulatory landscapes and business developments in the esports industry and other disruptive industries which could impact directly or indirectly our CGD business.”
