You Can Now Bet In Between Points During Wimbledon

Speed kills. DraftKings is hopeful that it helps the company kill the competition in a contested battle for consumers against other sportsbooks. Through its new Flash Bet feature, it hopes to further distinguish its product from other options.
Flash Bet is exclusively for tennis matches and will be first available for use during this year’s Wimbledon tournament. It is all about speed. Specifically, it provides users the ability to place live wagers between points in a given match.
It is not only the type of live betting that consumers are used to, where they can get some action mid-match and cash out at the conclusion of the event. Instead, users will be able to place a wager, view a timeline of the bet’s results and receive payouts seconds after a player is over. Betting point-by-point for the most hardcore sports bettors.
“Live wagering is already widely popular today, but also represents a crucial part of the customer experience and engagement tomorrow,” said Jordan Mendell, DraftKings Senior Vice President of Product Research and Development. “Short of playing on the court themselves, we are wholly invested in bringing our customers as close as possible to Wimbledon this year, while also giving them a taste of the lightning-quick innovations to come.”
Many believe that the ability to provide a meaningful in-game betting experience will have a big influence on who the winning and losing sports betting operators will be in the United States. DraftKings has made it clear that it intends to be among the winners and Flash Bet is proof of same.
