FanDuel Expands On Its 4-Year Relationship With The NBA Through Sports Betting Pact

FanDuel has been a long-term partner of the National Basketball League. In 2014, FanDuel signed a four-year deal with the NBA that included the NBA taking an equity stake in
the daily fantasy sports entity. Now that FanDuel has expanded its offerings to include sports betting, it is also growing its existing relationship with the league.
The NBA is naming FanDuel an Authorized Gaming Operator of the league, adding to its ownership of the Daily Fantasy category. FanDuel becomes the third Authorized Gaming Operator for the NBA, joining MGM Resorts and The Stars Group.
FanDuel will be able to use NBA marks and logos in connection with its sportsbook without any fear of an intellectual property dispute. Furthermore, FanDuel will have access to official NBA betting data to integrate into its platform.
“The NBA was the first sports league we partnered with, and has been an incredible partner ever since,” said FanDuel CEO Matt King. “We share a clear view on how we can collaborate to bring basketball fans new ways to engage with the games and players they love. With the expansion of our fantasy agreement and addition of sports betting, we are excited to work together in ways we haven’t before.”
