Job Opening: DraftKings Seeks Government Affairs Manager
With United States Senators introducing federal legislation to regulate sports betting on a national scale and almost double-digit states having adopted a regulated form of sports betting within their borders, it is no wonder that sports wagering operators will want to beef up their staff that oversees government affairs. Enter DraftKings, which is hiring a government affairs manager.
The DraftKings job description asks for someone to help DraftKings monitor and engage in various legislative and regulatory issues across the country. It will include having a direct impact on how the company navigates various legislative requirements.
Interestingly, you may be called on to testify at legislative hearings and meetings as well as draft comments on proposed legislation and regulations.
At least five years of working experience is required and a law school degree is considered a “bonus.”
There is flexibility on where you will be based. The job requires a lot of travel, but the job posting says you can be primarily located in Boston, Washington D.C. “or be flexible.”
